Q – Anitha, Pune, India – Do dreams have some significance?
Karan Sekhri – Nothing in this world is without any significance so does the dreams. Scientifically many researchers have done noteworthy progress in detangling the world of dreams researchers like Robert Maccarley, Sigmund Freud, Allan Hobson, G. William Domhoff etc. The art of interpretation of different dreams is very ancient from Mesopotamian civilization which was more than 5000 years ago to even before like in ‘Vedas’ and ‘Upnishadas’ etc. In ‘Rig Veda’ and ‘Atharva Veda’ there are phrases which relate with dreams and their effects. Dreams are connected with mind and astrologically the lord of mind is ‘Moon’ which has the fastest pace among all the planets. Therefore it is said the Moon helps mind to see the events of future via dreams or when our conscious mind sleeping. Sometimes these dreams are exact replica of what is going to happen and in some cases there are hidden indications of good or bad upcoming events of our life. As per my own experience the dreams that come in night have more relevance than during the daytime nap. Also during night time the latter part i.e. from 3 AM till 6 AM in morning is most relevant.
